What a beautiful city this is! When people around the country think of the city of Indianapolis, it's likely that they're thinking of the races that are associated with this city. Indianapolis is the most populous city in the state of Indiana, and it's a lively city to check out when you need some entertainment! To make it legitimate, Forbes has even ranked Indianapolis as having one of the best down town areas in the entire United States, and that's because of the ample opportunities to enjoy quality museums, art galleries, sports venues, movie theatres, restaurants, and boutiques. There's much to see and do in the area, and that's why we believe that this city is one that you need to check out while you're travelling around the state of Indiana. If you're someone who enjoys a bit of the adrenaline rush that sporting events give you, chances are you're a fan of the NASCAR races that take place throughout the year here in Indy. We're here to let you know all about the different races, as well as how to enjoy them to the fullest extent with all of your closest friends and family, and that's without breaking the bank.

Indianapolis has been dubbed "The Amateur Sports Capital of the World", as well as "The Racing Capital of the World"! Being a major center of auto mobile racing, this is the place to be if you enjoy watching cars go around and around the track. The Indianapolis 500 has been the ultimate premiere event for open wheel car racing since 1911, and it has always been hosted in the city at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In the city, you'll find the series headquarters and many of the teams bases as well. Many Indianapolis residents live and breathe auto racing, and that's because there's no better place to do it at in the entire country. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway located in Speedway, Indiana is where the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race takes place on Memorial Day each and every year. In fact, the Indy 500 is the largest single-day sporting event in the world! While the track is paved in asphalt for the smoothest ride, it's often referred to as the Brickyard because of the original brick road construction. Another great race that takes place here is the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series' Brickyard 400, a race that was created in 1994. It's NASCAR'S highest attended event!
